College Football Playoff first round point spreads if the 12-team field was set after Week 12

BetMGM revealed the first-round point spreads if the College Football Playoff 12-team field was set after Week 12 of the season. The first round matchups on are on campus locations.
There are some intriguing matchups, including a road favorite. But there are still three weeks of games and conference championships to go before the final College Football Playoff rankings.
So without further ado, let’s dive into the current projected first-round matchups in the College Football Playoff. We’ll start with the biggest discrepancy.
Tulane at Texas Tech (-19.5)
Tulane is the Group of Five rep in the College Football Playoff in this projection. But they might have their hands full with Texas Tech in Lubbock.
The Red Raiders are a near-three touchdown favorite at home. Simply put, this Big 12 squad is firing all on all cylinders and could win a game or two in this bracket.
Notre Dame (-4.5) at Oklahoma

Notre Dame is one of the hottest teams in the country right now as they’ve won eight straight. They’re so hot, BetMGM made them road favorites in the first round of the College Football Playoff.
The Sooners certainly got on the right track by beating Alabama on the road last weekend. That proved they are still CFP worthy at 8-2 to this point.
Alabama at Oregon (PK)
This is the closest game on paper right now. Alabama having to go out west to Eugene is no easy task, especially after causing some concern with their home loss to Oklahoma.

But Oregon hasn’t gone unscathed right now either. But, they’re 9-1 and closer to the College Football Playoff than the Crimson Tide. This one could go either way.
Miami at Ole Miss (-4.5)

Miami is still in the College Football Playoff race, despite not being in the ACC Championship at this moment. But having to go to Oxford in the first round is a big challenge.
Lane Kiffin and the Rebels have managed to avoid the distractions, at least on the field, and are now 10-1. They could increase their ranking or maybe even make the SEC title game if they beat Mississippi State in two weeks and finish the regular season 11-1.
