Fox Sports’ Joel Klatt revealed his latest top 10 rankings and had some big movement following the conclusions of Week 8. We saw some fascinating results as we prepare into the second  half of the season.

In fact, there are two new teams in this top 10 list this week! College football is about to heat up with some blue bloods mixed with new blood.

So let’s dive into Klatt’s latest rankings after Week 8. We start at the top!

1. Ohio State

The Buckeyes top Klatt’s rankings this week after a shutout win over Wisconsin. Ohio State is 7-0 on the season and looks every bit as good, if not better, than last year’s national champions.

They have a team hot on their tail in the Big Ten, maybe two, but Ohio State is the clear choice for top dog right now. The offense is clicking and the defense is arguably the best in the country.

2. Indiana

Indiana followed up the win at Oregon with a dominant win over Michigan State. Yes, the Hoosiers got off to a slow start, but they picked it up and won 38-13.

They are Klatt’s second best team in the country right now and it looks like an impending Big Ten title game between them and the Buckeyes. No wonder Curt Cignetti was rewarded with a massive contract extension.

3. Alabama (+2)

Alabama has won six games in a row since that season opening loss to Florida State. While it doesn’t look like a good one, this is an entirely different squad.

Ty Simpson was great against Tennessee and has been for the entire winning streak. The defense is really stepping up too as they vault up Klatt’s rankings.

4. Oregon (+3)

Oregon made a move up Klatt’s rankings this week after a 56-10 win over Rutgers on the road. The Ducks faltered against Indiana but bounced back in a big way.

They had 750 yards of offense and likely took their foot off the gas late. Oregon is still a player when it comes to the top of the College Football Playoff as well.

5. Texas A&M (-1)

Texas A&M, despite a win and staying undefeated, only dropped one spot in Klatt’s rankings this week after Alabama and Oregon moved up. They beat Arkansas 45-42 in a shootout.

You can be a little concerned about the defense after that game, but the offense was clicking. Marcel Reed is still one of the best quarterbacks in the country right now.

6. Georgia (+2)

The Bulldogs beat Ole Miss in a shootout, giving the Rebels their first loss of the season. Kirby Smart and crew moved up two spots in Klatt’s rankings while Ole Miss fell out of the top 10.

Gunner Stockton continues to shine as he accounted for five touchdowns in the 43-35 win. Now, the Bulldogs get a bye before taking on rival Florida, which is reeling after firing Billy Napier.

7. Georgia Tech (NR)

The Yellow Jackets are in the Klatt top 10 this week! Georgia Tech is 7-0 on the season and might be the new favorites for the ACC.

Brent Key is doing everything right for this team and they have a gamer at QB. Haynes King is a true dual threat and it seems nearly impossible to limit his running ability.

8. Miami (-5)

The Hurricanes took a big dip in Klatt’s rankings this week after losing on Friday to Louisville. Carson Beck threw four interceptions for the worst game of his season.

Still, Miami has a chance to right the ship with no ranked games remaining against ACC opponents. Despite the loss, it seems like a collision course with Georgia Tech for the ACC and perhaps the only CFP spot for the conference.

9. Notre Dame

Notre Dame stayed in the Klatt top 10 after a win over USC at home. It was a ranked win, so it’ll help the resume as the Fighting Irish have won five in a row.

Marcus Freeman saw Jeremiyah Love dominate on the ground with over 200 yards rushing. At this rate, we could see Notre Dame at 10-2 and grabbing an at-large bid for the College Football Playoff.

10. Vanderbilt (NR)

Vanderbilt also comes into Klatt’s top 10 rankings this week after another win to improve to 6-1. Diego Pavia had his own Heisman moment (a pose in the end zone), leading the Commodores to a win over LSU.

Next up is a top 15 matchup with Missouri and then a road game at Texas. A challenging two games, but Vandy has proved a lot of people wrong consistently this year.
