Fox Sports’ Joel Klatt revealed his new top 10 teams in college football with a shakeup in the top five! We are about to head into Week 10, so it’s go time!

The Big Ten still runs this top 10 with the two teams at the top. However, the SEC is well represented, as well as the big 12 and ACC trying to make a move.

We’re getting that much closer to the College Football Playoff! So let’s dive into Klatt’s latest rankings.

1. Ohio State

Ohio State had a bye week so they stood pat at the top of Klatt’s rankings this week. This is an undefeated squad that’s certainly in position to repeat as national champions.

This week, Ohio State gets a reeling Penn State team as they look to put a stamp on how good they are this year. Could they be better than last year’s champs?

2. Indiana

Indiana smoked UCLA over the weekend to end that feel good story. They remained the second best team in Klatt’s rankings at 8-0 on the season.

Curt Cignetti is doing everything right at the moment. The Hoosiers are so good, it’s time to talk about how they matchup with Ohio State this season and if they could win a national title.

3. Texas A&M (+2)

The Aggies blew out LSU this weekend to improve to 8-0 on the season and in the process, got LSU coach Brian Kelly fired. Mike Elko is rolling right now as the Aggies are the top ranked SEC team in Klatt’s rankings.

But the schedule only gets more difficult. They have to go to Missouri in two weeks, host South Carolina and Samford and then travel to Texas. Getting through that slate at least 3-1 should surely put this team into the CFP regardless if they’re in the SEC title game or not.

4. Alabama (-1)

Alabama dropped a spot in Klatt’s rankings this week despite a win over South Carolina. Texas A&M was just more impressive Saturday.

Heck, the two could face off in the SEC Championship for all we know! The Crimson Tide held off the Gamecocks in the end and Ty Simpson played another solid game. Kalen DeBoer has led this team to seven straight wins.

5. Georgia (+1)

The Bulldogs had a week off but actually moved up a spot in Klatt’s top 10 this week. Now a top five team, don’t forget about Georgia in the SEC race.

They have a rivalry game with Florida this week but have the head to head loss to Alabama. Still, playing Mississippi State and Texas after the Gators sets up for Georgia to crash the party. If they keep it up, their in-state game against Georgia Tech to conclude the season might be one of the games of the year.

6. Oregon (-2)

Oregon got another win, but it didn’t look too pretty in a 21-7 win over Wisconsin. The Ducks dropped two spots in Klatt’s rankings.

Dante Moore was banged up, but should be good to go moving forward. Due to the head to head loss to Indiana, they might need some help to get to the Big Ten title game. But, the CFP is firmly in view for last year’s No. 1 seed.

7. Notre Dame (+2)

Notre Dame had a bye week but is in the middle of a five game winning streak. Based on the schedule, Marcus Freeman and the Irish are on track to make the College Football Playoff again.

Even being idle this weekend, Klatt moved Notre Dame up two spots in his rankings. This weekend, they’ll head to Boston College.

8. Ole Miss (NR)

Ole Miss is in Klatt’s top 10 this week following a win over Oklahoma on the road. Lane Kiffin was fired up and has this team rolling.

Trinidad Chambliss threw for 315 yards and a touchdown while Kewan Lacy ran for 78 yards and two scores. South Carolina is up next but Ole Miss should be favored in every game the rest of the way as they try to make the SEC Championship Game and/or College Football Playoff.

9. Miami (-1)

Miami is a still a top 10 team per Klatt, but they moved down a spot with other movement. The Hurricanes beat down Stanford 42-7 after being tied 7-7 at halftime.

It was a nice way to bounce back after losing to Louisville, but the Hurricanes are still chasing Georgia Tech in the ACC standings. That could be your conference championship matchup.

10. BYU (NR)

BYU improved to 8-0 on the season with a road victory over Iowa State, 41-27. The Cougars, like Georgia Tech, might be the best team that’s not being talked about.

The Big 12 might be a one bid league this year, but BYU is firmly a top 10 team overall per Klatt. Perhaps a CFP appearance is around the corner.
