InterMat College Wrestling Individual Rankings updated after second weekend

The latest InterMat college wrestling individual rankings were updated after the second weekend of the season.

After some open tournaments and the Journeymen Classic, there were some shake ups. Not to mention some good duals going down in the early part of the schedule.

Let’s dive into the latest individual rankings (the top 10) for each weight class, according to InterMat. (Last week’s ranking in parentheses).

125 pounds

(Lock Haven Athletics)

1. Anthony Noto – Lock Haven (1)
2. Richie Figueroa – Arizona State (2)
3. Jakob Camacho
NC State (11)
4. Matt Ramos – Purdue (3)
5. Eric Barnett – Wisconsin (5)
6. Dean Peterson – Rutgers (6)
7. Patrick McKee – Minnesota (7)
8. Michael DeAugustino – Michigan (8)
9. Stevo Poulin – Northern Colorado (9)
10. Brett Ungar – Cornell (10)

There weren’t many changes here other than Camacho making a move up into the top 10 and Ramos dropping a spot with his 6-1 record. Everyone else stayed put in their respective spots.

Crookham is in with his impressive 7-0 start and replaces Connor McGonagle, who initially represented Lehigh at this weight. Chlebove is also in the top 10 now with his first win of the season for the Sun Devils.

There’s a new member of the top 10 as Happel makes his debut by virtue of other wrestlers winning and losing. Carson moved up two spots while everyone else bumped up one below the top five.

No new names into the top 10 this week, just a little movement below the top five wrestlers. Arrington is knocking on the door as he moved up a spot after the weekend.

The same goes for 157. By the way, Franek is 6-0 so he’s off to an impressive start to the season. Andonian moves into the top five while Scott drops to the No. 9 this week.

The top wrestlers stayed the same with not too much action or upsets. Kharchla and Mocco flipped spots though as the Ohio State star is off to a 4-1 start.

Welcome back to the top 10 for Hoffman, who has yet to wrestle this season. But the former All-American is among the lite. Everyone else bumped up, sans the top five guys.

Surber enters the top 10 rankings this week while Poznanski and Smith flipped spots in the latter half. Brooks is 3-0 and Buchanan is 4-0 and those two could be in a potential NCAA final in March.
