College Wrestling rankings: InterMat updates all 10 weight classes after Week 3

The latest NCAA wrestling rankings from InterMat are here now that Week 3 of the season is in the books! InterMat ranks No. 1 to 33 in all 10 weight classes.
The National Duals Invitational brought 16 of the best teams to the table and we had some NCAA Tournament level matchups over the course of two days. Ohio State dominated its way to the crown, beating down Nebraska and Iowa in the semifinals and finals, respectively.
So without further ado, let’s dive into the latest batch of in-season wrestling rankings from InterMat. We start at 125 by getting a look at the Top 10 in each weight.
125 lbs.
1. Luke Lilledahl, Penn State (+2)
2. Vincent Robinson, NC State (-1)
3. Nic Bouzakis, Ohio State (NR)

7. Dean Peterson, Iowa (+3)
8. Troy Spratley, Oklahoma State (-6)
9. Jett Strickenberger, West Virginia (-3)
10. Steve Poulin, Iowa State (-3)
Lilledahl takes the No. 1 spot in what’s sure to be InterMat’s wildest weight class this season. Robinson went down at the National Duals and Bouzakis is officially at 125 pounds. Volk is off to a blazing start at 11-1.
133 lbs.

1. Lucas Byrd, Illinois

8. Dylan Shawver, Rutgers (-1)
9. Jacob Van Dee, Nebraska (+2)
10. Dominick Serrano, Northern Colorado (+3)
Byrd remained at the top but Davino is hot on his tail. He moved up nine spots, is 10-0 and looked dominant for Ohio State at the National Duals. Otherwise, there was some modest movement in InterMat’s rankings at 133 pounds.
141 lbs.
1. Jesse Mendez, Ohio State

9. Dylan Ragusin, Michigan (+1)
10. Aaron Nagao, Penn State (+1)
Mendez looks like he’s bound to win a third national title in a row and is 5-0 so far. Vega broke out at National Duals and is one of a few Oklahoma State freshmen that could finish high on the podium this year. Stanich, Composto and Ragusin have yet to make their debuts.
149 lbs.
1. Shayne Van Ness, Penn State
2. Paniro Johnson, Iowa State
3. Jaxon Joy, Cornell (+4)

9. Koy Buesgens, NC State (+1)
10. Ryder Block, Iowa (NR)
Joy was impressive at National Duals and moved up four spots in InterMat’s rankings. Larkin made a name for himself too, coming up from the mid-20s, giving Arizona State quite the lightweight at the start of the season. Block enters the rankings after the weekend.
157 lbs.

1. Ty Watters, West Virginia (+1)
2. Landon Robideau, Oklahoma State (+3)
3. Vince Zerban, Iowa State

Lockett rounds out the frosh trio for the Cowboys and is now right behind Mesenbrink, who’s in his own category if we’re being frank. Caliendo’s only foil was Mesenbrink, but was picked off by Lockett this past weekend. Otherwise, InterMat’s rankings at 165 don’t look too messy right now.
174 lbs.
1. Levi Haines, Penn State
2. Patrick Kennedy, Iowa
3. Simon Ruiz, Cornell
4. Matthew Singleton, NC State (+1)
5. Carson Kharchla, Ohio State (+4)
6. Christopher Minto, Nebraska (-2)
7. Danny Wask, Navy (-1)
8. Lenny Pinto, Rutgers (-1)
9. Garrett Thompson, Ohio (-1)
10. Jared Simma, Northern Iowa
There was some modest movement in the top 10 of 174 for InterMat. Kennedy is 5-0 and firmly in this weight class for Iowa. But, everyone’s chasing Haines at the top, which seems like a fool’s errand right now.
184 lbs.

1. Angelo Ferrari, Iowa (+2)
2. Aeoden Sinclair, Missouri (+6)
3. Max McEnelly, Minnesota (-1)
4. Rocco Welsh, Penn State (-2)
5. Jaxon Smith, Maryland
6. Dylan Fishback, Ohio State (+1)
7. Brock Mantanona, Michigan (+7)
8. Silas Allred, Nebraska (-2)
9. Zack Ryder, Oklahoma State (-5)
10. Isaac Dean, Iowa State (-1)
Ferrari is the new No. 1 per InterMat after knocking off Sinclair, Ryder and Fishback. He’s the real deal, even if the scoreboard doesn’t pop. Sinclair was highly impressive and is now 10-1, which includes a win over McEnelly, who only lost to Carter Starocci and Parker Keckeisen last year as a freshman.
197 lbs.
1. Josh Barr, Penn State
2. Rocky Elam, Iowa State
3. Stephen Little, Arkansas-Little Rock
4. Mac Stout, Pittsburgh (+1)
5. Joey Novak, Wyoming (-1)
6. Bennett Berge, South Dakota State (+1)
7. Justin Rademacher, Oregon State (+2)
8. Massoma Endene, Iowa (+8)
9. Cody Merrill, Oklahoma State (+1)
10. Camden McDanel, Nebraska (-4)
Stout is now 5-0 and moved up a spot in the InterMat rankings. Endene proved he belonged this weekend and is now 5-0 on the season as well. Barr still tops InterMat’s rankings despite not wrestling yet this season. Although Cael Sanderson said his sophomore NCAA runner-up is close.
285 lbs.
1. Yonger Bastida, Iowa State
2. Isaac Trumble, NC State (+1)
3. Nick Felman, Ohio State (+3)
4. AJ Ferrari, Nebraska (-2)
5. Taye Ghadiali, Michigan (-1)
6. Ben Kueter, Iowa (-1)
7. Nathan Taylor, Lehigh
8. Konner Doucet, Oklahoma State (+1)
9. Luke Luffman, Illinois (-1)
10. Cole Mirasola, Penn State (+1)
Trumble moved up one spot in InterMat’s rankings despite not wrestling yet this season. Feldman just edged out Ferrari at National Duals, giving him the leg up for now. Taylor has yet to debut as well as get closer to Thanksgiving.
