Not only are college football personalities sounding off about what the final College Football Playoff rankings will look like, but so are people in college basketball circle. Count ESPN icon Dick Vitale among those chiming in on what the CFP top four will look like on Sunday.

Vitale took to Twitter with a message for the committee about where Ohio State should — or, in this case, shouldn’t — be ranked. He thinks the Buckeyes shouldn’t be higher than No. 4 even though people might want to see a rematch against Michigan after last week’s 45-23 Wolverines victory.

“Hope the committee doesn’t force @ohiost to #3 to set up a rematch with @UMichFootball as that would NOT be RIGHT,” Vitale tweeted. “They are lucky to be a #4 which most likely will happen even though if study @AlabamaFTBL’s schedule they deserve #4. Bama was never beaten at home by 3 TD’s.”

The final CFP rankings come out Sunday at 12:15 p.m. ET on ESPN. That’s when fans will learn which teams will compete for the national championship and play in the semifinals on New Year’s Eve.

Joel Klatt makes definitive statement on CFP teams

The final College Football Playoff rankings come out Sunday, and there’s sure to be plenty of discussion about who the top four should be heading into the reveal show. FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt unveiled his picks via Twitter — and made a definitive statement in the process.

Klatt said some combination of GeorgiaMichiganTCU and Ohio State will be in the top four. That means USC and Alabama will be on the outside looking in after the Trojans fell to Utah in the Pac-12 Championship Friday night in Las Vegas.

Klatt notably had TCU in his rankings despite the Horned Frogs’ upset loss to Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship. It was the Horned Frogs’ first loss of the season, which is an argument why they should stay in the top four.
