Elite 4-star DL Isaiah Campbell decommits from Clemson

Durham (N.C.) Southern four-star defensive lineman Isaiah Campbell has decommitted from Clemson.
He was pledged to the Tigers since Jan. 29, when he chose the ACC program over Florida State, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Tennessee.
Campbell decommitted from the Tigers last week after speaking with defensive assistant Nick Eason and head coach Dabo Swinney. He then attended North Carolina’s game last Saturday against North Carolina Central.
“After much prayer and counsel, I am announcing my decommitment from Clemson University,” Campbell said in a statement. “At this time, I am continuing to build relationships with schools that share my values and goals. I know this may come as a shock, but please respect me, my family, and my coaches as we navigate this transition.

This fall, Campbell will take official visits to Tennessee (Oct. 18) and North Carolina (Nov. 15). The Volunteers and Tar Heels are the two primary contenders in his recruitment going forward.
Campbell is the No. 43 overall prospect and No. 4 defensive lineman in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 2 player in North Carolina.
On3 is higher on Campbell than the other major recruiting services. He ranks No. 31 nationally in the 2025 On300.
