After spending Saturday in Eugene, Oregon, ESPN has announced College GameDay’s next stop. The show will head to Athens for Ole Miss at Georgia.

College GameDay was in attendance for a Top-10 matchup between Oregon and Indiana in Week 7. That meant the show passed on the Red River Rivalry between Oklahoma and Texas after the Longhorns suffered an upset loss at Florida in Week 6.

By heading to Eugene, College GameDay made its 13th trip to Oregon – the most of any West Coast school. Entering Week 7, the Ducks had a 9-3 record when the show was in attendance and looked to add to it in the matchup with Indiana. It also marks the Hoosiers’ fifth time appearing on College GameDay, and already the fourth under second-year head coach Curt Cignetti.

Oregon women’s basketball legend and New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu served as the guest picker for this past week’s show, marking her second appearance on College GameDay. She previously joined the desk in October 2022 when the Ducks took on UCLA in Autzen Stadium – a 45-30 victory.

Of course, Saturday’s show had another interesting wrinkle. Kirk Herbstreit had to leave mid-show so he could make it to Dallas in time to call the Red River Rivalry between Oklahoma and Texas. It’s the exact situation he found himself in last year when College GameDay went to Eugene for Oregon vs. Ohio State. After leaving the show, Herbstreit rode in the back of a car to the airport and made his picks from the plane.

It was part of a busy few days for Herbstreit. He was in New Jersey Thursday night to call the New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles game for Prime Video before taking the long flight to Oregon on Friday. By then going to Dallas for the Red River Rivalry and back home to Nashville, Herbstreit said he logged more than 5,400 miles on the trip.

College GameDay began at 6 a.m. PT, but with the Texas-Oklahoma game kicking at 3:30 p.m. ET – or 12:30 p.m. PT – Herbstreit couldn’t be on the desk for the full show.

Through the first two months of the year, College GameDay continues to draw strong ratings for ESPN. The show’s viewership continues to rise, including 2.8 million viewers on average for the trip to Tuscaloosa for Vanderbilt at Alabama in Week 6. That made it the second most-watched regular season episode in history, ESPN said.
