ESPN's Heather Dinich predicts Auburn to beat Alabama in 2025 Iron Bowl

There is no doubt that the Iron Bowl runs 24 hours a day, for 365 days throughout the year. People inside the state are already anticipating the 2025 matchup between Alabama and Auburn. It’s another chance for Hugh Freeze to get a win, hoping to do so inside Jordan-Hare Stadium.
In fact, one ESPN analyst is already predicting the Tigers will emerge victorious. In a video posted by the SEC Network on Saturday, Heather Dinich claimed Auburn will win this season’s Iron Bowl. She believes in the roster Freeze has put together over the past few years.
“I’m going to tell you right now that Auburn is going to win the Iron Bowl,” Dinich said. “Hugh Freeze has finally had enough time to bring in the players that can help him do that.”
Auburn is currently in its worst Iron Bowl form since the late 1970s and early 80s, currently in the midst of a five-game losing streak. Three different head coaches have been involved too, going back to Gus Malzahn and Bryan Harsin before Freeze was hired.
Some heartbreakers have been involved as well. Alabama fans will never forget the 2020 comeback engineered by Bryce Young. Or Jalen Milroe and Isaiah Bond connecting on 4th and 31 to win the 2023 Iron Bowl with a miracle play.

Making sure the drought does not span another year is certainly near the top of the priority list for Auburn. Dinich mentions the team built by Freeze — it’s one generating a ton of hype both in and outside the program. Mainly on the offensive end, where a ton of trust is being put into quarterback Jackson Arnold. He should have one of the best wide receiver groups in college football surrounding him.
For now, you have to imagine the Iron Bowl is the furthest thing on Auburn’s mind. A tough Week 1 game is scheduled for Aug. 29, going to Waco for a massive nonconference showdown against the Baylor Bears. Getting a win on the road could really jumpstart the season.
But when the time comes, Freeze will have his team ready to go. Playing the game at home certainly brings a different level of advantage. DeBoer will be experiencing the atmosphere for the first time in his tenure after getting a win inside Bryant-Denny Stadium last year.
Dinich believes DeBoer’s record will get to .500. A spicy preseason prediction for one of college football’s best rivalry games.
