2026 safety Devin Jackson decommits from Florida

Winter Garden (Fla.) The First Academy three-star safety Devin Jackson has decommitted from Florida after pledging to the Gators back in July.
“It’s just the right decision for me right now,” he told On3’s Chad Simmons of his decision.
Jackson pledged to the Gators when defensive backs coach Will Harris was leading his recruitment, but Harris has since moved on to a job at Miami. And the Hurricanes are considered one of the top schools to watch, along with LSU and Nebraska, according to Simmons.
“I’m feeling great because I and Coach Harris already had a relationship, and we’re still building on it and are on good terms,” Jackson told CaneSport of Miami last month. “It was good seeing The U and what he’s trying to build up here.”
… What stands out about Coach Harris is the good energy, and he’s a great coach,” Jackson said. “When I went to the practice, I saw how good of a coach he was, and he loves the players. He loves them outside of football, and that’s what I always want to see in a coach.”
