Florida State flips JUCO WR Jordan Scott from Arizona State

Southwest Mississippi Community College wide receiver Jordan Scott has flipped his commitment from Arizona State to Florida State, he announced on Thursday.
The junior college standout committed to the Sun Devils earlier this month, but is now set to head to Tallahassee after picking up an offer from FSU and taking a visit to campus.
Scott is the No. 17 overall prospect and the top-ranked JUCO WR in the cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Scott was originally a Class of 2023 recruit out of Appomattox County and hails from Lynchburg, Va.
He becomes commitment No. 13 and is now the lone receiver in FSU’s 2025 recruiting class, which has taken its fair share of lumps this fall. Head coach Mike Norvell made an impact on Scott and his decision.
“Really I was planning on not [visiting] nowhere else after committing to Arizona State, but Norvell gave me a phone call and was like, ‘This is you. This is your decision. I want you to come out here and see what we have to offer for you,’” Scott told Warchant. “So I took the chance, and I want to see what everybody has to offer. So I wanted to see what he had to offer for me.”

More on FSU Recruiting
Norvell and the Noles are working hard to hang on to the top recruits that remain in their 2025 class ahead of National Signing Day. That includes six blue-chip prospects, headlined by Jacksonville Raines five-star interior offensive lineman Solomon Thomas.
On Nov. 21, Florida State flipped Denton (Texas) Guyer three-star quarterback Kevin Sperry from Oklahoma. Sperry is the nation’s No. 31 QB and replaces four-star QB Tramell Jones, who flipped from FSU to rival Florida.
Thomas is one of two top-100 recruits in the class, alongside Greensboro (Ga.) Greene County four-star defensive lineman Kevin Wynn. Other top commits still in the mix include: Fort Valley (Ga.) Houston County four-star IOL Peyton Joseph, De Kalb (Miss.) Kemper County four-star OT Mario Nash, Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage four-star safety Gregory Thomas and Omaha (Neb.) Millard South four-star tight end Chase Loftin.
