Wisconsin staffer, ex-Badgers All-American Mike Caputo expected to hired by Buffalo

Buffalo is expected to hire Wisconsin quality control assistant and former Badgers standout safety Mike Caputo as safeties coach, sources tell On3.
Caputo will also have special teams responsibilities.
Caputo had been working at Wisconsin since last year after two seasons as an analyst at Baylor. Prior to Baylor, Caputo was a graduate assistant at LSU (2017-18) and the safeties coach at Utah State (2019).
Caputo made 40 career starts as a player at Wisconsin, earned All-Big Ten recognition in both 2014 and ’15 and was also a second-team All-American in 2014.
He finished with 244 career tackles, including a team-high 106 during that 2014 season.
In addition to the Caputo hire, Buffalo is also set to promote Robert Wright to defensive coordinator, sources tell On3.
