Georgia transfer QB Jaden Rashada in contact with trio of Group of Five schools

Georgia transfer quarterback Jaden Rashada is in contact with a trio of Group of Five schools, multiple sources tell On3. The former four-star recruit was previously released from his National Letter of Intent at Florida, then transferred from Arizona State and later to Georgia.
Currently the top-available quarterback in the portal, sources tell On3 that UConn and Tulane have also been in contact with Rashada. He’s also coming off a weekend visit to Western Kentucky. Rashada could potentially visit Tulane down the road, but nothing has been set.
Rashada did not play last season at Georgia, but threw for 485 yards and four touchdowns in three games at Arizona State in 2023. WKU added Abilene Christian quarterback Maverick McIvor in January. The former Texas Tech transfer passed for 30 touchdowns and 3,828 yards this season.
Tulane has yet to name its starting quarterback for the 2025 season. The Green Wave added former LSU, Auburn, Texas State and WKU transfer TJ Finley, but he is currently suspended due to his arrest. Jon Sumrall’s program also brought in Illinois transfer Donovan Leary and Ball State’s Kadin Semonza in the winter.

UConn quarterback Joe Fagnano is on the Huskies’ spring roster, but it’s unclear if he has eligibility remaining. The Huskies also return former Oklahoma and Wisconsin transfer Nick Evers, who threw for 918 yards and five touchdowns last season.
Rashada is still in the midst of his lawsuit against Florida head coach Billy Napier, former Florida director of NIL and player engagement Marcus Castro-Walker and well-known UF booster Hugh Hathcock. A judge ruled Tuesday that Rashada’s fraudulent misrepresentation and inducement, conspiracy to commit fraud and negligent misrepresentation claims survive to discovery and go toward trial.
Jaden Rashada filed the lawsuit last May. At the heart of the suit is a four-year, $13.85 million contract that played a crucial role in Rashada flipping his commitment from Miami to Florida in November 2022. According to court documents, the Gators allegedly reneged on the unprecedented NIL collective agreement, leaving the quarterback without a school and out millions of dollars.
