No. 7 Ole Miss will host South Carolina this weekend for a Week 10 showdown in the SEC. The Gamecocks are looking to snap a three-game losing streak while the Rebels are well on their way to the College Football Playoff.
The two conference opponents with not be at full strength for the matchup. In turn, both programs have revealed the initial status of their injured ahead of their Week 10 game. Here’s how the Wednesday availability report stacks up.

Heading into the week, Gamecocks head coach Shane Beamer hadn’t given much of an injury update. He had revealed after the Alabama game that TE Maurice Brown was dealing with an injury, but nothing further. He wasn’t on the injury report on Wednesday.
For the Rebels, they had four players on their injury report last week including TE Dae’Quan Wright, WR Deuce Alexander, OL Terez Davis and S Ladarian Clardy. All four were made available to play against Oklahoma during Week 9 after all began the week as questionable before progressing throughout.
Ole Miss would go on to beat No. 13 Oklahoma 34-26 on the road during Week 9. Wright and Alexander went on to combine for six receptions for 23 yards during the contest. Clardy did not record any stats.
On the same day, South Carolina was putting on their upset bid against Alabama. The Gamecocks led 22-14 with just over two minutes left in regulation before the Crimson Tide scored 15 points during the final stretch to stay alive in the CFP race.
This sets up Saturday night’s game in Oxford between the Rebels and Gamecocks — a matchup which has gone in Ole Miss’ favor in each of the last two seasons. Ole Miss has also won seven of the last 10 meetings between the two programs.

The three wins for South Carolina over that stretch came in consecutive seasons during 2008 and 2009, as well as in 2018 after going nearly a decade without playing. Though, that’s not surprising given their former SEC East and West distinctions.
They’ve only played seven times since the turn of the century. Overall, Ole Miss leads the all-time series 10 wins to eight losses.
A loss to the Gamecocks on Saturday would be a massive blow to the Rebels’ CFP push, while South Carolina looks to salvage the rest of the season with its eye on bowl eligibility.
Kickoff between the Gamecocks and Rebels is set for Saturday at 7 p.m. ET. ESPN will air the national broadcast.
