Top-35 recruit JJ Andrews down to 3 schools, sets commitment date
JJ Andrews, a four-star shooting guard in the 2026 class, has set his college commitment date. The 6-foot-6 rising senior out of Little Rock Christian Academy (Little Rock, AR), will announce his decision on Thursday, May 15th between his three finalists: Arkansas, LSU, and Missouri.
Along with his final schools, Andrews received offers from programs like Oklahoma, Marquette, Illinois, Ole Miss, Texas Tech, USC, and others.
Andrews has a list of accolades that include Arkansas Gatorade Player of the Year, 2024 EYBL Peach Jam Champ (with Brad Beal Elite), two-time state champion, Max Preps All-American, and more.
He is the No. 32 overall recruit in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He’s also the No. 7 shooting guard prospect and the No. 1 player in Arkansas. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Earlier this spring at USA Basketball, On3’s Jamie Shaw found JJ Andrews to be a standout:
“JJ Andrews has a physical presence and knows how to use that for production. While he might not be the most explosive athlete or the best shooter in the gym, he is comfortable on the ball, and he has a nose for an extra possession. He is one of the ones where you look at his stat line at the end of the game and get a full understanding of how much he affects play.”
According to Synergy, Andrews was the most efficient scorer in Session One of the EYBL Circuit, averaging 19.7 points per game on nearly 72% from the field.
