No. 18 Oklahoma travels to No. 14 Tennessee on Saturday for a showdown in the SEC with massive College Football Playoff implications. According to BetMGM, the Volunteers are three-point favorites over the Sooners in Knoxville.

Joel Klatt expects the Volunteers to not only defeat the Sooners on Saturday, but to cover the spread in the process. The Fox Sports analyst is as high on Tennessee as any team in the country heading into Week 10.

“Tennessee has won 25-straight home games against teams not named Georgia. OU ain’t Georgia — they just aren’t,” Klatt said. “I like Tennessee in this game. Tennessee (wins) 28-20, the cover the 3.5 (point spread). I’ve got Tennessee going to the playoffs. I think they’re (going to be) 10-2, and this is one of those wins.”

Oklahoma is coming off a 34-26 loss to Ole Miss at home during Week 9, and have lost two of its last three matchups coming into the game. The Sooners have struggled to find its rhythm on offense ever since QB John Mateer has returned from having surgery on his throwing hand. Before his injury against Auburn on Sept. 20, Mateer was playing as well as any QB in the country.

For Tennessee, they’ve won two of their last three games. They most recently defeated Kentucky on the road 56-34 in an effort to bounce back from Week 8’s loss to Alabama on the road.

Both teams are 6-2 with two losses in conference play. The losing party will likely have their College Football Playoff hopes dashed while the other stays alive in the 12-team race.

It’ll be only the fifth meeting ever between the two storied programs. Oklahoma has the edge, boasting a 3-2 all-time record against the Volunteers. However, Tennessee defeated Oklahoma 25-15 last season when they met for the first time as conference opponents.

Kickoff between the Volunteers and Sooners is set for 7:30 p.m. ET live on ABC. The over/under is set at 55.5 total points.
