Joel Klatt predicts Texas A&M to win, cover vs. Florida

According to BetMGM, Texas A&M is a 7.5-point favorite against Florida this weekend. On Thursday, FOX Sports’ Joel Klatt revealed who he’s picking to win the pivotal SEC showdown.
“Marcel Reed can extend plays. He gets better every single time I watch him. [Mario] Craver is amazing on the outside. [KC] Concepcion, the environment and the inconsistency from Florida has got to put me in the Texas A&M camp,” Klatt said. “The question is, do you give the 7.5?
“I think A&M wins this game. Do you give the 7.5? The answer is yes. I think A&M wins this 27-17 and I think that they, again, stamp themselves as basically a favorite in the SEC.”
Florida fans won’t be happy to hear Klatt’s prediction. The Gators regained a sliver of hope this past weekend after defeating Texas 29-21 to improve to 2-3 on the season.
Florida had lost three consecutive games before the win and many fans were calling for the school to fire head coach Billy Napier. Alas, the win caused some fans to believe in the Gators again. After all, the team was in a similar position last year before winning four straight games to close the season.
Unfortunately for Florida, Klatt isn’t putting much stock in an extended turnaround for the Gators. In fairness, Texas A&M has been excellent this season and is entering the game with a 5-0 record and a 2-0 mark in conference play.
Most recently, the Aggies handled business against Mississippi State, running away with a 31-9 victory. In the win, Texas A&M amassed 479 total yards of offense, more than double Mississippi State’s total.

Texas A&M logged 299 rushing yards alone. Billy Napier knows his defense has a tall task ahead of it.
“The quarterback being able to run and the two receivers from the portal, they got a great combination of weapons here,” Napier said of Texas A&M. “It’s definitely a challenge to defend this group.”
Texas A&M and Florida will clash at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday. The game will air live on ESPN.
