Joel Klatt reveals his midseason top five players for Biletnikoff Award

Joel Klatt revealed his midseason top five players for the Biletnikoff Award and these wide receivers have certainly stood out. He even picked his midseason winner!
Ohio State WR Jeremiah Smith was Klatt’s pick for the Biletnikoff as of now. Of course, we have plenty of football to play, so this is subject to change.
So without further ado, let’s dive into the best wide receivers in college football per Klatt. These five are in the running for the Biletnikoff Award.
Makai Lemon, USC
Lemon is having a breakout season for USC this year after a productive sophomore season. He’s on pace to shatter his totals from last year at this point, putting him in the Biletnikoff Award conversation.
Through six games, Lemon has 44 catches for 682 yards, six touchdowns, 15.5 yards per catch and a rushing touchdown. Plus, USC is a top 20 team and 5-1 to this point.
Mario Craver, Texas A&M

Craver is wracking up big numbers right now. He’s in the thick of the Biletnikoff Award race after transferring in from Mississippi State.
He only has 32 catches, compared to Lemon’s 44 right now. But, he has 634 yards, four touchdowns and averages 19.8 yards per catch. He also has a rushing touchdown.
Jeremiah Smith, Ohio State (Midseason winner)
There’s a lot of attention on Smith once again after his standout freshman season. He was considered the top WR in the country last year and this dude still has to play another year of college football!

So before the Buckeyes’ star plays on Sundays, he might win the Biletnikoff Award this year and he’s Klatt’s midseason pic. Smith has 40 catches for 505 yards, seven touchdowns and 12.6 yards per catch.
Chris Brazzell, Tennessee
Brazzell’s in the middle of his second season at Tennessee and is on pace to set career highs this year. He played two years at Tulane including a solid sophomore season in 2023.
But this year, he’s on a different level, already setting a career best total in touchdowns, and counting! Brazzell is in the running for the Biletnikoff Award with 32 catches for 536 yards, seven touchdowns and 16.8 yards per catch.
Elijah Sarratt, Indiana

A big reason why Indiana’s offense is so good? It’s because of Sarratt, who leads the WR corps for the No. 3 Hoosiers.
He followed Curt Cignetti from James Madison last year and now could win a Biletnikoff Award after a productive 2024. This year, he has 39 catches for 533 yards, seven touchdowns and 13.7 yards per catch.
