Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas four-star cornerback Justice Fitzpatrick is officially down to five schools in his recruitment, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Thursday.

Among the remaining contenders are Georgia, Ohio State, Miami, Florida and Texas. He previously told CaneSport those were the programs he was “really set on,” but now will only look at them going forward.

“Right now I feel like I’ve gotten down to a good five that have been consistently reaching out,” Fitzpatrick said in April. “I feel like those five I’m really set on. They’re really the ones that have really been consistent once I showed my mutual interest. …I feel like they all do a really good job reaching out. I don’t think there’s one that (recruits harder) than others because they all do a good job reaching out and trying to build a connection. I think they’re all on an even playing field right now before the OVs.”

The Bulldogs will get their shot at him this weekend, followed by trips Miami (June 5) and Florida (June 7), all in the span of less than 10 days. Texas (June 13) and Ohio State (June 20) will get his final two visits.

Fitzpatrick, the younger brother of former Alabama star Minkah Fitzpatrick, also told On3’s Chad Simmons that he expects to commit sometime in July.

Going into the visits, Miami is the team leading according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). Head coach Mario Cristobal has made Fitzpatrick feel like a personal priority, despite some of the change on Miami’s defensive staff over the past few years.

“A big part for me and my family is always the head coach, and we know Coach Cristobal is a great dude,” Fitzpatrick told CaneSport earlier this week. “He has been a big part of my recruitment, which isn’t always a normal thing for most head coaches. He’s made it clear that he wants me there and feels like he kind of needs me there. He’s really pushed hard with me and my parents.”

They’ll have to fend off some of the nation’s top programs though. Each would love to have him in their class. Georgia, which will host him this weekend, is another that catches his eye, according to On3’s Steve Wiltfong.

“Fitzpatrick has always had a keen eye on Georgia,” he wrote earlier this week. “The pedigree as a program, the level of play and coaching the defensive backs get excites him regarding his own potential.”

The 6-foot, 185-pounder is the No. 34 overall prospect and No. 4 cornerback in the 2026 class, according to On3.
