On Saturday, No. 4 Texas A&M will travel to Fayetteville to take on Arkansas inside Razorback Stadium. While the Aggies are the heavy favorites in the contest, there’s more intrigue to the showdown than some fans may initially suspect.

This game will be Arkansas’ second with interim coach Bobby Petrino at the helm. Last week was Arkansas’ first game since firing head coach Sam Pittman. The Razorbacks looked strong, narrowly falling to Tennessee 34-31.

Alas, Texas A&M won’t be intimidated. The Aggies are 6-0 this season and 3-0 against SEC opponents. Most recently, the Aggies avoided a trap game against Florida, dominating the Gators in a 34-17 blowout.

Unfortunately, neither the Razorbacks nor the Aggies are expected to be at full-strength for their meeting on Saturday. For each team’s latest availability report, look below.

Texas A&M Aggies:

The most notable player on either’s team availability report is Texas A&M running back Le’Veon Moss. Moss suffered an ankle injury in the Aggies’ win over Florida this past weekend and is expected to miss “a significant amount of time.”

It’s a massive loss for the Aggies. Moss leads the team with 389 rushing yards and six touchdowns this season on 70 carries. Rueben Owens II will have to step up his production in Moss’ absence.

Owens has been stellar as well this season. He boasts 327 rushing yards on 56 carries (5.8 yards per carry). Nonetheless, it won’t be easy for Texas A&M to replace the intangibles Moss brings to the field.

“I love Le’Veon,” Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko said. “I wish Le’Veon was healthy. We’re going to miss him. He’s been a warrior for this program. He’s given us everything he had to get ready for this season.

“I hope this goes as fast and as smooth as it can, but injuries are a part of SEC football. And if we’re going to allow injuries to impact or derail things, we can’t do that.”

With Le’Veon Moss sidelined, Arkansas will have an opportunity to outpace Texas A&M’s offense. The Razorbacks’ offense has been excellent this season. The unit averages 511.5 yards per game, the sixth-most in the country.

Texas A&M and Arkansas will square off at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday. The game will air live on ESPN.
