Le'Veon Moss injury update: Texas A&M RB's status revealed for Texas on Tuesday availability report

FaceProfileby: Thomas Goldkamp1 hour ago

Texas A&M is set to try to complete its undefeated regular season on Black Friday against rival Texas. To that end, the injury report for the game could be a big deal.

The Aggies have some key players on the mend heading into the all-important rivalry game. The Longhorns have far fewer players listed on the initial availability report.

So who’s in and who’s out for the big game, the Lone Star Showdown? Let’s dive into the Tuesday night availability report below.

Texas Longhorns

OUT – 1ST HALF
LB Ty-Anthony Smith

QUESTIONABLE
LB Anthony Hill Jr.

Texas A&M Aggies

OUT
S Bryce Anderson
S Rashad Johnson

DOUBTFUL
LB Scooby Williams
RB Le’Veon Moss

While he is rounding back into form for Texas A&M and could play a key part down the road, a designation of doubtful for running back Le’Veon Moss obviously doesn’t portend well for Friday’s matchup. It might be a stretch to see Moss.

Of course, Texas A&M is deep in the backfield and can likely make up for it. Still, Moss has accounted for 389 yards rushing and six scores this season.

He’s a handful when he’s healthy. But he also hasn’t played since the Florida game on Oct. 11.

The other doubtful player for Texas A&M is linebacker Scooby Williams. Williams has been in and out of the lineup at times this year due to injury, but he’s a remarkably productive player when he’s healthy. If the Aggies can get anything out of him it will be a bonus.

Finally, safeties Bryce Anderson and Rashad Johnson will be out in the secondary. That will leave things a little thin, as Anderson is a veteran back there.

On the Texas side of things heading into the Texas A&M game things are much more clear. There are only two players listed on the initial Tuesday availability report.

Linebacker Anthony Hill is questionable for the contest. He’s obviously a hugely important piece for Texas. Finally, linebacker Ty-Anthony Smith will miss the first half as the result of a targeting penalty in the previous game.
