The winner of Miami vs. Auburn advances to the NCAA Tournament’s second weekend

Auburn picked up a 19-point victory over 15th-seeded Jacksonville State on Friday, advancing to the Round of 32. The Tigers led throughout the game, and held a commanding lead for the entirety of the game. Miami, on the other hand, squeaked out a narrow win against 10th-seeded USC. The Hurricanes held on for the 68-66 victory, setting up Sunday’s matchup with Auburn.

On the injury front, Auburn is expected to have two key contributors on the court despite a scary incident in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. Walker Kessler and Jaylin Williams were involved in a collision, where Kessler caught Williams with an accidental elbow. Kessler was left with a gash in his elbow, while Williams chipped multiple teeth. Williams did not return to the game, while Kessler eventually came back in.

On Sunday morning, Auburn received a positive update on Williams, saying that he should be “good to go” against Miami.
