Oklahoma, John Mateer pick up top-25 win over Michigan

The long top-25 matchup of Week 2 of the college football season is a Big Ten-SEC clash. Michigan visits Oklahoma for only the second all-time meeting between the bluebloods.

It’s a homecoming for Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore, who was an offensive lineman at OU for Bob Stoops. The Wolverines roll into Norman with true freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood, who impressed in his debut in Week 1.

For Oklahoma and Brent Venables, it’s a key opportunity to make a statement before SEC play begins. Venables is in his fourth season with the Sooners, and revamped his roster this offseason, headlined by the addition of Washington State transfer quarterback John Mateer.
