Mansfield (Texas) four-star wide receiver Zion Robinson has committed to Michigan, he announced on Wednesday.

He had well over 20 offers when he made his decision on the Wolverines.

“I committed to Michigan over Stanford and Miami,” Robinson told On3. “They offered me back in 8th grade, then they really made their move in March.

“I picked Michigan because of the academics, football, the people and the connections there.”

Robinson is the No. 160 overall prospect and No. 22 WR in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 24 player in Texas.

The 6-foot-2, 160-pounder logged multiple trips to Ann Arbor this year, including an official visit at the beginning of June. New offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey and the U-M staff have made the blue-chip pass-catcher a priority and he’s now the latest big addition to the 2026 pledge list.

“Coach Bellamy’S consistently shows me that he cares about me and his players,” Robinson said. “Sherrone Moore is a great man too. He is soft spoken, but very ambitious.”

Robinson caught 42 passes as a junior last season and turned those catches into more than 500 yards and eight touchdowns. He’s the No. 7 WR in Texas this cycle and is gearing up for a big senior campaign this fall.

Michigan makes move in team rankings

Another June commitment has helped Michigan continue its push toward the top 20 of the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Robinson is the seventh pledge of the month for head coach Sherrone Moore and Co.

Saint Louis DeSmet four-star defensive lineman Titan Davis chose the Wolverines over Alabama on Monday evening. He’s the No. 9 DL in the cycle and the second highest-ranked commit in the class, behind Newbury Park (Calif.) four-star quarterback Brady Smigiel.

Chicago Simeon four-star EDGE McHale Blade chose U-M over Notre Dame on June 9. One day later, Liberty Hill (Texas) four-star DL Alister Vallejo did the same. Blade checks in as the No. 155 recruit nationally.

In May, Billings (Mont.) West four-star tight end Matt Ludwig pledged. His stock continues to soar as he ranks No. 5 at the TE position, per the On300. Jacksonville Mandarin four-star cornerback Brody Jennings is still giving other schools a hard look, but he’s been in Michigan’s class since last July.

Other commits in the class include: Denver Mullen three-star TE Mason Bonner, Cartersville (Ga.) Cass three-star interior offensive lineman Bear McWhorter, Washington D.C. St. John’s three-star EDGE Tariq Boney, Dallas Parish Episcopal three-star WR Jaylen Pile and Columbus (Ohio) St. Francis DeSales three-star running back Jonathan Brown.
