Now that the 2025 College Football Playoff bracket is in place, the updated national championship odds have been released, according to BetMGM. First-round CFP games will begin Dec. 19-20 as teams race for the title.

Although Indiana is the No. 1 seed in the field, Ohio State has the shortest odds to win the national championship. The Buckeyes dropped to the No. 2 seed after falling to the Hoosiers in the Big Ten Championship on Saturday, but are the favorite to win it all at +225.

The stage is set for the College Football Playoff with 12 teams left standing. Here are the full national championship odds, according to BetMGM.

Ohio State: +225

Although Ohio State is the No. 2 seed, the Buckeyes are the favorite to win the College Football Playoff national championship. They opened at +225 to repeat as champions.

Ohio State went 11-0 during the regular season, including a rivalry victory over Michigan, before falling to Indiana in the Big Ten Championship. The Buckeyes still secured a first-round bye in the CFP and will get things started in the Cotton Bowl on New Year’s Eve.

Indiana: +275

After winning its first outright Big Ten Championship since 1945, Indiana is the top seed in this year’s College Football Playoff. But the Hoosiers have the second-shortest odds to win the national championship, according to BetMGM, at +275.

Indiana is the last undefeated team left standing in FBS, completing a 13-0 season with a Big Ten title game victory over Ohio State. The Hoosiers will start the CFP at the Rose Bowl, awaiting the winner of No. 9 seed Alabama vs. No. 8 seed Oklahoma.

Georgia: +600

After a dominant performance in the SEC Championship against Alabama, Georgia is the No. 3 seed in the College Football Playoff. The Bulldogs also have the third-shortest odds to win the national championship, sitting at +600, according to BetMGM.

UGA defeated Alabama in the regular season, but got revenge in a big way in Saturday’s SEC title game, getting the 28-7 victory. That improved the Bulldogs to 12-1 on the year and helped them secure a first-round bye to the Sugar Bowl.

Oregon: +900

Tied for the fourth-shortest odds to win the national championship, Oregon is the No. 5 seed in the College Football Playoff. That means the Ducks will host a first-round game, welcoming Sun Belt champion James Madison to Eugene.

Oregon went 11-1 in the regular season, only losing to Indiana at Autzen Stadium. That helped the Ducks stay squarely in the mix for the CFP, and they sit at +900 to win it all, according to BetMGM.

Texas Tech: +900

After a huge 2025 season, Texas Tech brought home the Big 12 Championship. The Red Raiders dominated BYU for the second time this year to clinch the title and seal a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff.

Texas Tech is also +900 to win the national championship, according to BetMGM. The Red Raiders are the No. 4 seed in the field and will get things underway against the winner of James Madison vs. Oregon in the Orange Bowl.

Texas A&M: +1400

Although Texas A&M missed out on the SEC Championship, a first-round game is still coming to Kyle Field. The Aggies will get the College Football Playoff underway against No. 10 seed Miami.

Texas A&M went 11-1 in the regular season, but a Lone Star Showdown loss to Texas kept the program out of the SEC title game. Still, the Aggies are +1400 to win the national championship, according to BetMGM.
