After Notre Dame took over on the turnover on downs, Pitt got the turnover it desperately needed as Raheem Biles intercepted CJ Carr for a pick-six. However, Adon Shuler intercepted the two-point conversion and ran it all the way back, giving Notre Dame two more points. As a result, the score became 30-9 with 1:39 left in the third quarter.
