Cedar Hill (Texas) defensive lineman Jalen Brewster checks in at No. 6 in the 2027 On300 and after visiting Oklahoma, Oregon, SMU, TCU and Texas A&M this spring, the Sooners and the Ducks have positioned themselves well going into his junior year.

“Oregon and Oklahoma really made a move for me this spring,” Brewster told On3. “It was my first time at Oregon and what stood out to me were the facilities and the coaches. Oregon has everything you need to make it to the league and the staff treated me like family.

“It was my fifth time at Oklahoma and they treated me like family. I talked to everyone on the staff and I know a lot about each and everyone on the staff and their journeys. When I was there this spring, I toured the campus and watched the team practice. What stood out to me at Oklahoma was the culture and their life after ball program.”

The four-star will be back in Eugene on June 1 to get his second look at Dan Lanning‘s program. Brewster is planning to return to Norman on June 10. Around those visits, he has visits to Indiana (June 3), Texas A&M (June 12) and USC (June 18) on his calendar.

Oklahoma and Oregon are doing a great job for the No. 1 defensive lineman in the country early on.

“They are both recruiting me heavily,” Brewster said. “I’m building a strong relationship with coach Bates at Oklahoma and I am doing the same with coach Tony, coach Daniels and coach Lanning at Oregon.”
