On3 4-star QB Kane Archer names top seven schools

Greenwood (Ark.) four-star quarterback Kane Archer is down to seven schools, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Tuesday.
SMU, UCF, Louisville, Appalachian State, Missouri, Arkansas and Ole Miss made the cut.
On3 is especially high on Archer — the only major recruiting service to have him nationally ranked. Archer is the No. 151 overall prospect and No. 10 quarterback in the 2026 On300.
Archer is the nation’s No. 407 overall prospect in the 2026 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the No. 26 QB and No. 6 recruit from the state of Arkansas.

Archer has won 26 games in a row at Greenwood High in Arkansas. He has won back-to-back state championships and was named the 2024 Gatorade Player of the Year in his home state after completing a national record 81.5% of his passes for 3,880 yards, 57 touchdowns and only 2 interceptions last season. He added 795 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground.
Several schools stopped by to see Archer in the month of January, he told On3 last week.
“Missouri came in to watch me throw in January, Appalachian State came by, UCF and USF stopped by and a lot of schools checked on me,” Archer told. “I got great feedback from the coaches who saw me throw, all said they loved it and I will continue to build my relationships with those schools.”
