Paul Finebaum declares Texas game as 'the biggest game in the history of Texas A&M'

Saturday is what fans have been waiting for in The Lonestar State with the return of Texas vs. Texas A&M. Paul Finebaum thinks it’ll live up to the expectations too, which is something considering how high they are to him.
Finebaum spoke about No. 3 Texas vs. No. 20 Texas A&M tomorrow in College Station while on ‘Get Up’ on Friday. He does think that the Longhorns could lose at Kyle Field with, as he said is no exaggeration, this being the biggest game of the history of the program for the Aggies.
“They have to be on upset alert because this is not hyperbole. This is the biggest game in the history of Texas A&M,” said Finebaum. “They’ve been waiting for this since the moment it was announced in December.”
Finebaum also could see an upset because he likes how Texas A&M is entering the game after being upset on the road themselves last weekend in a game that went to quadruple overtime.
“I like the way that A&M is coming into this game after that loss to Auburn,” Finebaum added.

This will mark the first game in one of the better rivalries in college football since 2011. Since then, Texas and Texas A&M never met in scheduling one another in the non-conference. That then changed with the Longhorns eventually joining them in the SEC and, with that, this game has been highly-anticipated ever since.
Still, for all the hype down in Aggieland, Finebaum does expect Texas to win the game. That would hurt even more then as it would send the Longhorns into the SEC Championship and College Football Playoff. It would also end the Aggies’ season with just a bowl sometime next month.
“As big as it is, Texas is a better team,” said Finebaum. “I believe they will win and move on to Atlanta next week.”
Even so, Texas vs. Texas A&M should be great regardless, both because of the rivalry and because of how it can affect the postseason as a Top-20 matchup. It’s now just a matter of who wins it for their season and for bragging rights in the state.
