Pete Thamel: Alabama transfer DL Khurtiss Perry sets official with Wisconsin

Former Alabama defensive lineman Khurtiss Perry has set another visit after entering the transfer portal. After visiting Virginia Tech on Tuesday, Perry’s set an official visit with the Louisville Cardinals for this week, and now he’s added a date with the Wisconsin Badgers, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

“Former Alabama defensive lineman Khurtiss Perry has an official visit set this week to Wisconsin, per the @APSportsAgency,” Thamel posted on X. “He’s already visited Virginia Tech and Indiana. He’ll also visit Louisville this week. He’s a former ESPN Top 60 recruit from the Class of 2022.”

Perry spent two seasons in Tuscaloosa, redshirting in 2022, before appearing in one game last season.

Moreover, Perry played high school football at Pike Road (AL) where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 66 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He finished as the No. 10 DL in the class and the No. 4 player out of the state of Alabama.

As a senior in high school, Perry recorded 76 tackles, 22 sacks and 30 quarterback hurries. He originally chose Alabama over offers from AuburnClemson and Texas.

Boston College transfer WR Joseph Griffin Jr. commits to Wisconsin

Boston College transfer wide receiver Joseph Griffin Jr. committed to the Wisconsin Badgers on Friday, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. He hauled in 43 catches for 579 yards in two seasons, bringing in six touchdowns during that time. He’ll have three seasons of eligibility remaining.

Griffin started in five games in the 2022 campaign, playing in eight of those. He hauled in 18 catches for 234 yards and five touchdowns. One of the most clutch catches he had that year came against NC State on Nov. 12, when he hauled in a two-yard touchdown catch in the final minute that won the game. 

Boston College had an improved year this season, finishing with a 7-6 overall record. They enjoyed a 23-14 win over the SMU Mustangs in the Wasabi Fenway Bowl. The Golden Eagles finished their regular season with three straight losses, to Virginia TechPittsburgh, and Miami.
