Pittsburgh LB Kyle Louis taunts Florida State bench with Tomahawk Chop

Pitt LB Kyle Louis used Florida State‘s patented Tomahawk Chop to taunt the Seminoles during the Panthers’ 34-31 win during Week 7. Louis recovered the onside kick that helped Pitt win the game, and taunted to FSU sideline after getting up off the grass.
The Panthers scored 13 points in the fourth quarter to help defeat the Seminoles. Louis finished the game as Pitt’s second-leading tackler with 11 tackles, including 1.5 for loss.
Louis is a team captain for the Panthers. On the season, the veteran defender has put up 30 total tackles including two sacks, a pass breakup, an interception and one forced fumble. The do-it-all linebacker has been consistent for Pitt all season, and came up big in the special teams setting on Saturday.
Despite the loss, Florida State was still able to put up over 400 yards of total offense. That includes 245 passing yards from QB Tommy Castellanos and 170 rushing yards from the Seminoles’ ground game.
However, Pitt put up 476 yards of total offense — including 321 passing yards from true freshman QB Mason Heintschel. He threw two touchdowns and two interceptions during the contest.

Heintschel earned the nod after an up-and-down start to the season from initial QB1 Eli Holstein. Pitt opted to play the true freshman last week against Boston College and they received the same result. The Panthers defeated the Eagles 48-7 behind a 300+ yard, four touchdown performance for their young signal caller.
Meanwhile, the loss sends FSU to 3-3 on the season after starting the year with three-straight wins. They’ve since started the season 0-3 against ACC competition. Each of those losses have come by one score. Though, the loss against Pitt on Saturday will likely drop the Seminoles out of the AP Top 25.
For Pitt, the Panthers improve to 4-2 through six games and have won their last two games. Their offense has been scoring at a high rate all season and is averaging 36.3 points per game against ACC competition.
The Panthers will move on to play Syracuse on the road next week before returning home to play NC State the following weekend. Florida State will also hit the road, playing Stanford in a cross-country road trip against the Cardinal. They’re on a bye week after that, rounding out Florida State’s October slate. They’ll return on Nov. 1 at home against Wake Forest the following week.
