FSU senior TE Markeston Douglas won’t enter transfer portal
Florida State senior tight end Markeston Douglas had decided against entering the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to Warchant.com.
This report counters a prior reports from the Tallahassee Democrat, which wrote Douglas “is entering the transfer portal” on Saturday. Noles247 also reported Douglas was re-entering the portal Saturday.
Douglas returned to Tallahassee via the transfer portal during the Winter window after a one-year stint at Arizona State in 2024, where he caught one pass for 3 yards while appearing in all 14 games last season.
The 6-foot-5, 270-pound Douglas made five starts in 30 career games during his previous four-year run in Tallahassee (2020-23), appearing mostly as an extra blocking tight end. His best season came in 2022, when Douglas had 14 receptions for 190 yards and two touchdowns, including a a career-high four receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown in a 35-32 Cheez-It Bowl win over Oklahoma to end that season. Douglas also added 11 receptions for 136 yards and two scores in 2023.
