Stanford transfer Andrej Stojakovic has been busy since he announced his intention to enter the portal. ESPN college basketball insider Jeff Borzello has now revealed the latest.

“[He] took a visit to Cal last weekend and the Bears are very much in the mix,” Borzello reports. “North Carolina and Kentucky are also heavily involved, as is Michigan. Likely to take another visit this weekend, nothing finalized. Others in pursuit include Creighton, Washington, USC and Louisville.

With a long list of suitors shooting to land his services for the upcoming college basketball season, the son of former three-time NBA All-Star Peja Stojakovic can take his time with this decision if he so chooses.

Stojakovic averaged 7.8 points and 3.4 rebounds per game during his lone season with the Cardinal. He appeared in all 32 games for Stanford, but only started in 10 of them. He shot 32.7 percent from beyond the arc as a freshman.

His collegiate career got off to a promising start, scoring in double figures in three of his first four games at Stanford. After beginning his career with a 5-point performance, he exploded over the next three outings while averaging 16.0 points during that stretch. He scored in double figures on nine different occasions, including a career-high 20 points in a 99-68 win over USC on Feb. 10.

Before the highly-touted transfer enrolled at Stanford, Stojakovic was a blue-chip four-star recruit out of Jesuit (CA). He was the No. 5 shooting guard and No. 24 overall player in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He averaged 25.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game in 26 games as a junior at the high school level.

Despite having a famous father, Andrej, unlike many in his position, has previously stated that he loves being compared to him.

“I know some guys just don’t even want to be compared to their dads who played in the league,” Andrej told Sports Illustrated during his recruiting process, via his On3 profile. “But I’d personally love to have as successful a career in the NBA as my dad did. I want it on my own, yeah, but I’m definitely gonna follow his blueprint to get it done.” As a junior, Stojaković averaged 25.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game in 26 games.
