Florida and Texas A&M are set to meet in a conference showdown that will matter quite a bit for both schools. It could even have SEC Championship Game implications, though it’s far too early to dive too heavily into those scenarios.

The point, though, is that both programs will desperately be seeking a win on Saturday night in College Station. And to that end, the injury report looms large.

The SEC officially unveiled the first availability report for the week on Wednesday evening, so we have a better idea where each team stands. Let’s take a look at who is listed below.

RB Treyaun Webb
EDGE LJ McCray
DB Aaron Gates
RB Duke Clark
DB Dijon Johnson
DL Caleb Banks

WR Muizz Tounkara
RB Ja’Kobi Jackson

LB Scooby Williams

Florida is getting awfully thin at the running back position, though starting running back Jadan Baugh remains healthy. Still, backups Ja’Kobi Jackson and Treyaun Webb were held out of the Texas game last week due to injuries.

And there’s a new addition to the list now: backup Duke Clark. Clark is dealing with a shoulder injury that he sustained in the win over the Longhorns.

The freshman tailback ran nine times for 38 yards against Texas, showing good patience and wiggle in the hole. He was Baugh’s primary backup. His status will obviously bear monitoring throughout the week.

Star defensive tackle Caleb Banks also missed the Texas game after re-aggravating a foot injury. His absence has been significant for Florida, especially with edge rusher LJ McCray also missing time.

On the Texas A&M side, there are a few key injuries to watch. Former Florida linebacker Scooby Williams missed last week’s game against Mississippi State. He was listed as questionable on the first three injury reports of the week before being ruled out for the game.

He will obviously want to give it a go against his former Florida squad if at all possible. Safety Bryce Anderson was also in the same boat — questionable all week until being ruled out on gameday. He’s another one to monitor throughout the week.

In any case, Wednesday’s availability report is just the first of the week. Teams are also required to provide reports on Thursday and Friday night, as well as shortly before kickoff on Saturday.
