Entering Saturday night’s game, McGowan ranked ninth in the SEC with 431 rushing yards and third in the SEC with seven touchdowns. At the time he headed to the locker room, he led all Wildcats in receiving.
McGowan transferred to Lexington this season after a tumultuous past five years, which included a charge for larceny during a stint at Oklahoma. He has enjoyed a strong start to his final season of college football, but that could now be hampered by the potential injury.
