Following its victory over Arkansas in Week 8, Texas A&M trolled interim coach Bobby Petrino on social media. The Aggies’ account posted a photo of a player riding a motorcycle, likely alluding to the infamous situation involving Petrino during his first stint in Fayetteville.

The graphic included a Texas A&M player driving away from Razorback Stadium on a motorcycle. It also included the phrase, “Went Hog Wild” at the top.

Petrino’s first go-round at Arkansas ended shortly after he was involved in a motorcycle accident with former Razorbacks volleyball player Jessica Dorrell. He’s now back as interim head coach after previously serving as offensive coordinator under Sam Pittman.

Both offenses were on full display in Saturday’s game as Texas A&M got a thrilling 45-42 road victory over Arkansas. With the win, the Aggies improved to 7-0 on the year and are the last remaining unbeaten team in the SEC.

Marcel Reed had a big night, completing 23 of 32 passes for 280 yards and three touchdowns while adding 55 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground. Rueben Owens led the Texas A&M rushing attack with 14 carries for 69 yards and two touchdowns.

On the Arkansas side, Taylen Green went 19 for 32 for 256 yards and three touchdowns. He was also heavily involved in the run game, taking 12 carries for 85 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. He left the game at one point due to an apparent leg injury, but returned on the ensuing possession.

Entering Saturday’s game, Green cemented himself as one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the country with 1,654 passing yards and 14 touchdowns to five interceptions. He is also a dynamic runner with 504 yards rushing and three scores on the ground. Through his first six games, he led the nation with 359.7 total yards of offense per game.

In fact, ESPN’s Greg McElroy said he’s heard NFL Draft chatter around Green. He predicted the Arkansas star could play his way into the first round of the draft.

“I’ve talked to several scouts, and they’re kind of enamored with this young man’s skillset,” McElroy said on SportsCenter. “Now, is he a traditional quarterback? Probably not. But 6-foot-6, 235 with major wheels? He’s gone over 21.5 miles per hour on the field this year. He’s a one-man wrecking crew for Arkansas.

“And while Arkansas has got issues along the offensive line at times and at defense on all three levels, he has been the engine that has given them a chance in all their games. But Taylen Green, keep an eye on him because someone might take a flier at the end of the first.”
