It seems as if comedian Theo Von may have finally gotten his long-awaited date with Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia‘s mom. Von and Pavia made headlines when the comedian attended a game between the Commodores and South Carolina in Week 3 and revealed he had a bet with Pavia that he would get to go on a date with his mom if Vanderbilt won.

Pavia recently appeared on Nightcap with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco, where he panned over to reveal that Von was also in the room during the interview. Not only that, but the comedian was standing next to Pavia’s mom and put his arm around her.

Pavia invited both Sharpe and Ochocinco to attend a Vanderbilt game. He also told them to ask Von what the experience was like, and the comedian delivered with a hilarious story from his time on the sidelines.

“They got more recruits here now,” he said. “When I first came the first game they had probably six recruits on the sidelines. They had one dude in a wheelchair, he was a recruit. I was like, ‘What is he gonna do?’ They said, ‘We might need him.’ I said, ‘The Lord needs him.’ But today (against Missouri) they had like 150 recruits, man. It’s wild. It’s different.”

Vanderbilt (7-1, 3-1 SEC) has taken off since that win against the Gamecocks. The past two weeks have seen the Commodores notch a pair of top 25 victories against LSU and Missouri, throwing them in the conversation to make the College Football Playoff.

Pavia has been the heartbeat of the team, throwing for 1,698 yards and 15 touchdowns to five interceptions so far this season. He also leads the teams with 458 yards rushing and five more touchdowns on the ground.

As for Theo Von, nothing has been officially confirmed as to whether he and Diego Pavia’s mom are dating. The comedian lives in Nashville and had a friendship with Pavia prior to all this, so it’s possible they’re just continuing to play it up for social media.

“My goal is I’d like to marry a nurse someday so that’s why,” Von said of why he wanted to date Pavia’s mom on SEC Network during that Week 3 game against South Carolina. “He was telling me about that. I like being his friend, so I don’t want to end up being like his stepdad or something. We’ll see what happens.”
