Washington lands commitment from Hawaii Player of the Year in QB Treston McMillan

Mililani (Hawaii) High quarterback Treston McMillan announced his commitment to Washington head coach Jedd Fisch and his staff on Tuesday night.
The 6-foot, 201-pound prolific passer had a fantastic junior season throwing for 3,521 yards, rushing for 575 more yards and producing 53 touchdowns. He completed 68 percent of his passes en route to winning Hawaii State Gatorade of the Year honors, was the Marcus Mariota Hawaii Player of the Year and MaxPreps Hawaii Player of the Year.
McMillan becomes commit No. 5 for the Huskies in the 2025 cycle and the second quarterback joining Dash Beierly.
“It just felt like home as soon as I stepped on campus,” McMillan said. “They have a lot of coaches with NFL experience. They aren’t only going to better me as an athlete but as a person.”
Washington has just two scholarship quarterbacks on the roster in Mississippi State transfer Will Rogers and true freshman Demond Williams. Fisch and company would like to add a third scholarship quarterback by the start of the season and now have two of the West coast’s best prospects at the position in the fold for 2025.
Passing game coordinator Jimmie Dougherty and Josh Omura led the charge in recruiting McMillan.
McMillan took his official to Washington this past weekend.
