WATCH USC top-100 commit Tackett Curtis returns three punts for TD

Not many linebackers return punts and kickoffs. But Many (La.) four-star linebacker and USC commit Tackett Curtis is not your average linebacker.

Curtis is doing some punt returning for Many (La.) High, and he was fair unstoppable this past weekend against Lake Charles (La.) Sam Houston. He returned not one, not two but three punts for touchdowns in a 38-3 victory.

Curtis is the No. 99 overall recruit and No. 8 linebacker in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $135k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

The 2023 Trojans recruiting class ranks 11th in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking. Los Alamitos (Calif.) Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Malachi Nelson, Las Vegas Bishop Gorman Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Zachariah Branch and Los Alamitos (Calif.) four-star wide receiver Makai Lemon are the other three top-100 recruits in the class.
