West Weeks injury update: Latest on LSU linebacker

LSU linebacker West Weeks is trending toward being available for Saturday at No. 13 Ole Miss, sources tell Shea Dixon and I. The Tigers held out the starting linebacker against Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday as he recovered from a calf strain he sustained against Florida.
Weeks, the brother of LSU linebacker Whit Weeks, has played 123 snaps in three games as a starter for the Tigers. He’s posted 27 tackles on the season with four pressures and a sack. LSU head coach Brian Kelly previously said that Weeks’ injury was not a “long-term situation.”
A former Virginia transfer, Week has 115 career tackles, seven tackles for loss and three sacks. He’s also forced a fumble and is in his third season at LSU. While most of the focus on the Weeks family has been around White Weeks, who had a breakout season in 2024, West Weeks has emerged as key contributor for the Tigers.
