Kylie Feuerbach thought she and her Iowa teammates were surprising Caitlin Clark with cake and balloons for her 22nd birthday earlier this week.

Little did she know Clark would be the one pulling off a surprise.

Clark gave each of her teammates Nike shoes, which is part of her NIL deal with the shoe giant. Feuerbach captured it all on Tik Tok, unboxing the Kyler Murray “Be 1 of One” Nike dunks that were inside.

“For Caitlin’s birthday, she got us a gift,” Feuerbach said.

Clark was one of five notable college basketball players to land deals with Nike as the company made a big move into the basketball space in October 2022. Bronny JamesHaley JonesDJ Wagner and Juju Watkins were also part of the landmark agreement, which is “inspiring young athletes who are leading the way now — both on the court and in their communities.”

Caitlin Clark continues to thrive in the NIL space

Clark is one of the biggest names in college basketball, and she continues to capitalize on her high profile in a big way. In addition to her partnership with Nike, she also has a deal with State Farm and just last month, signed a multi-year partnership with Gatorade.

By joining forces with Gatorade, Clark became just the second college basketball player to land a deal with the company, along with UConn guard Paige Bueckers.

On the court, Clark is in the midst of an impressive senior season as she looks to build on last year’s run to the national championship. Her 31.0 points per game is a career-best, and she’s also averaging 7.2 points and 7.7 assists per game through 19 starts. In Tuesday night’s resounding 96-50 victory over Wisconsin, Clark had 32 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals.

All the while, Clark remains the projected No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. Just this week, ESPN’s Michael Voepel projected her to go to the Indiana Fever in the top spot.

Away from the court, though, Clark is one of the most recognizable players in women’s basketball. She has an On3 NIL Valuation of $818,000, which ranks No. 30 in the On3 NIL 100, which is the first of its kind and defacto NIL ranking of the top 100 high school and college athletes ranked by their On3 NIL Valuation. She also sits at No. 4 in the On3 College Women’s Basketball NIL Rank.
