Colorado wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. will attend the 11th annual Buffs4Life Kyle MacIntosh Memorial 5K on June 25 through an appearance facilitated by the Buffs4Life NIL Collective. The NIL collective announced the news on Twitter.

Both the start and finish of the race are at Franklin Field on Colorado’s campus.

Numerous current and former Colorado athletes attend the event annually. Buffs4Life Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides resources and support for former Colorado athletes, including those related to mental health.

The organization’s website describes the experience of a group of former Colorado football players learning in 2005 that their former teammate Anthony Weatherspoon was diagnosed with leukemia. The group wanted to support him financially with the medical bills he owed, and they established the Buffs4Life Foundation to help former CU student-athletes.

Buffs4Life Foundation then expanded its mission to create the Buffs4Life NIL Collective, which provides NIL opportunities for current athletes at Colorado.

Registration for the race costs $25 per person or $90 per family, which is capped at five members per family. The top male, female and youth finishers will receive prizes.

The website for the Buffs4Life Kyle MacIntosh Memorial 5K says there will be chip timing available this year, an expanded expo, pop-a-shot with Colorado men’s basketball players and yoga with Colorado women’s basketball player Kindyll Wetta. There will also be autograph sessions.

On Memorial Day, three Colorado football players – running back Anthony Hankerson, offensive lineman Van Wells and tight end Caleb Fauriaattended the BOLDERBoulder 10K in association with the Buffs4Life NIL Collective. They signed autographs at a booth, where a flyer displayed a QR code so fans could contribute to the collective.
