With his senior season underway at Penn State, Drew Allar landed a notable NIL deal. Thursday, he announced a partnership with Nike.

Allar is considered one of the country’s top returning quarterbacks this year after helping the Nittany Lions to the College Football Playoff semifinal a season ago. He’s also one of the top names in college football this year, boasting a $3.2 million On3 NIL Valuation.

Now, Allar is joining Nike’s athlete roster. The sportswear giant also announced an agreement with Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams this year as it continues to invest in college football.

Thursday’s announcement marks the latest high-profile NIL deal for Allar as he looks to take another leap forward at Penn State. He was also part of American Eagle’s collaboration with Travis Kelce last month, joining a group that includes Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and UConn star Azzi Fudd, among other notable names.

At $3.2 million, Allar’s On3 NIL Valuation ranks among the top in college sports. He sits at No. 8 in the college football NIL rankings and No. 9 in the On3 NIL 100, the first of its kind and de facto NIL ranking of the Top 100 high school and college athletes ranked by their On3 NIL Valuation.

Allar’s deal with Nike comes after On3’s Brett McMurphy reported Penn State is preparing to leave the company for an apparel deal with adidas. Penn State has been a Nike school since 1993, but On3’s Pete Nakos reported adidas is preparing to offer a “significant” NIL component in its new agreement, which is pending approval from the Board of Trustees.

Drew Allar looking to make case for 2026 NFL Draft

Though he had the opportunity to declare for the NFL Draft after the 2024 season, Drew Allar opted to run it back at Penn State in 2025. He also became one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in college football, On3’s Pete Nakos reported.

In Penn State’s season opener against Nevada last week, Allar put together an efficient showing. He completed 22 of 27 passes for 217 yards and a touchdown as the Nittany Lions cruised to a 46-11 victory to kick things off.

Throughout the year, Allar can also help improve his NFL Draft stock after foregoing the event last year. In fact, ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. said his ceiling could put him in the Top 10 in 2026, given the way Penn State built around him.
