Koby Brea, Clara Strack debut in new Intuit TurboTax commercial on first full day of March Madness

Kentucky basketball players Koby Brea and Clara Strack have starred in the latest Intuit TurboTax commercial. TurboTax, a partner of March Madness, released the commercial during the first full day of March Madness.
The commercial was filmed inside Rupp Arena, and featured the two Kentucky stars in their UK uniforms. It aimed at describing how Intuit TurboTax makes doing taxes easier. They did this by comparing doing taxes before Intuit TurboTax to shooting onea 20-foot rim with a rock. “What?” Strack said in the video.
Brea revealed the video on social media with the following message: “Taxes are tough no more. Now taxes are as easy as matching with a @turbotax Expert today so you can watch more basketball this March Madness!”
Both Brea and Strack are gearing up, and play major roles for the men’s and women’s basketball teams in Lexington. For Brea, Kentucky relies on him for his 3-point shooting. For Strack, she’s 6 foot 5 and commands the paints for the Wildcats, nearly averaging a double-double this year.
Intuit TurboTax also released individual promotions for both Brea and Strack. Those videos can be seen on their personal social media pages.

According to KSR’s Zach Geoghegan, he’s far from the only Kentucky star to showcase his NIL partnerships this week. Brea’s teammate, Lamont Butler, recently colaborated with the popular footwear brand Crocs. Andrew Carr has been busy as well, linking deals with the likes of Celsius, Stanley and Logan’s of Lexington. Butler, Carr and Jaxson Robinson also star in a fan-favorite local commercial for Clark’s Pump-N-Shop.
Strack’s teammate, Cassidy Rowe, also has a deal in place with Clark’s Pump-N-Shop. Teonni Key recently showcased her recent deal with Hollister as well.
As both teams gear up for their NCAA Tournament openers this weekend, the men’s team is headed to Milwaukee to take on the Troy Trojans, who won the Sun Belt Conference tournament earlier this month. Meanwhile, the women’s basketball team is set to host Liberty, the Conference USA tournament champions, at home in Lexington.
The men’s team will be looking to avoid a first-round upset for the third time in four years, while the women’s team is making their first tournament since 2022. In recent years, neither Kentucky team has had much luck in March Madness, as the men’s squad haven’t made it through the second weekend since 2019, and 2016 on the women’s side of things.
