'Run Ollie Run:' Oklahoma State star running back Ollie Gordon focus of new NIL deal
Ollie Gordon II is one of the most explosive weapons in college football.
After playing every game as a true freshman last season for Oklahoma State, Gordon has already rushed for 816 yards and eight touchdowns, while also racking up nearly 200 yards receiving in seven games for the Cowboys.
The rushing numbers put him at No. 8 overall in the country, and he’s tied for 13th in the nation in touchdowns. Last week against West Virginia he exploded with 282 yards and four scores. It was his fourth straight game with more than 120 yards on the ground.
To celebrate the fast start, Gordon is teaming up with the Oklahoma State Brand Squad and NIL collective Pokes With a Purpose on a new NIL deal.
Through the agreement, the brand squad – a group of Oklahoma State Spears School of Business students that help Cowboys student-athletes with NIL activities – have released a new “Run Ollie Run” T-shirt. The limited-edition shirts feature the slogan on the front and “OG2” on the back. Orders for the shirt close at midnight on Sunday and cost $26.
“To celebrate the amazing work @OllieGordon2 has done on the field this season, support him by wearing an OG2 shirt,” the Oklahoma State Brand Squad said in a post that was shared by Pokes With a Purpose. “These are very limited and only available until Sunday.”
It’s not the first time this season that Gordon has been the focus of an NIL push. After blitzing Kansas for 284 yards of total offense, Pokes With a Purpose created a QR code for a signed helmet giveaway with donations earmarked for Gordon.

Through his success this season, Gordon has seen a monster jump in his On3 NIL Valuation. He has a $240,000 On3 NIL Valuation, which is an increase of more than 420% over the past 10 weeks. He also continues to rack up social media followers – soaring past 12,400 this week.

Outside of agreements with NIL collectives, social media posts have become the leading activity for athletes. Boasting a large following across Instagram and TikTok, specifically, can make all the difference in compensation.
Along with his NIL deal through Pokes With a Purpose, Gordon has also promoted an agreement with Card Stock Exchange, a trading card company.
While there’s been zero indication that Gordon – a native of Fort Worth, Texas – could be looking to leave Oklahoma State, the Stillwater News Press posted a story this week about how the “Ollie Gordon sweepstakes” has already started. The story broke down which schools might be able to lure him away in the transfer portal through NIL deals. Alabama and Colorado were mentioned, along with remaining at Oklahoma State.
