Tennessee's Joey Aguilar, Mike Matthews, Jermod McCoy promote 'Dark Mode' Crocs

As Tennessee gets ready to shift into “Dark Mode” against Oklahoma this week, Crocs is doing the same. The company, in partnership with Dick’s Sporting Goods, launched “Dark Mode” Tennessee-themed clogs – and multiple Vols stars helped promote them.
Quarterback Joey Aguilar, wide receiver Mike Matthews and cornerback Jermod McCoy all starred in a video showing off the new Crocs. Each pair was delivered via drone as the company surprised the athletes.
Additionally, Crocs will be holding four activations in the lead-up to Saturday’s game. Fans can attend events at Yee-Haw Brewing on N. Broadway in Knoxville on Oct. 30 and at Dick’s Sporting Goods on Kingston Pike in Knoxville on Oct. 31. There will also be a co-branded fan mobile at Vol Village Nov. 1 ahead of kickoff.
Aguilar has seen his profile grow tremendously since arriving at Tennessee this year. Repped by Octagon, he has grown to $1.2 million On3 NIL Valuation. That puts him at No. 49 in the college football NIL rankings and at No. 98 in the On3 NIL 100, the first of its kind and defacto NIL ranking of the top 100 high school and college athletes ranked by their On3 NIL Valuation.
Last month, the Appalachian State and UCLA transfer held a meet-and-greet with fans through a partnership with Powerade. He is repped by Octagon.

Matthews, meanwhile, has emerged as a key playmaker in the Tennessee offense amid a breakout sophomore season. He enters Saturday’s game against Oklahoma with the third-most receiving yards on the roster, totaling 562 yards and three touchdowns across his first eight games this year. Matthews is also one of the highest-paid wide receivers in 2025, On3’s Pete Nakos reported.
When asked about the “Dark Mode” uniforms this week, Matthews expressed his excitement for fans to see them. He also said he wants to see fans get into it at Neyland Stadium, as well.
“I’m expecting a Dark Mode Neyland,” Matthews said this week. “Everybody knows how that is. It’s gonna get real electric, chaotic. A little bit of everything. And it’s Halloween, so I guess it’s gonna be a little spooky.”
