Under Armour has made another move in the NIL space.

The sportswear company has become a notable player, signing partnerships with nearly 100 athletes in the first year of name, image and likeness. The brand brought on Shedeur Sanders at the end of November, releasing a signature Jackson State jersey.

Now it has inked an endorsement deal with Vyctorius Miller. The four-star recruit in the Class of 2024 was pictured in an Instagram post, promoting Under Armour’s new Spawn 5 Carnival Pack sneaker.

Miller is the nephew of Master P. He’s also the son of Vyshon Miller, who is better known as Silkk the Shocker, a multiplatinum artist who thrived with No Limit Records. A 6-foot-5, 170-pound shooting guard, Miller has received offers from Kansas, USC, UCLA, Syracuse, Memphis and Oregon, among others.

Originally from North Hollywood, California, Miller is spending his junior year at Arizona’s Compass Prep. Because the school is not a member of the Arizona Interscholastic Association, he does not have to follow the governing body’s NIL policy, which prohibits athletes from profiting from their publicity rights.

Signing NIL deals with up-and-coming basketball stars have been a focus for major sneaker companies. Nike signed Bronny James, DJ Wagner and Judea Watkins — all high school basketball stars — back in October. Adidas has also been aggressive, signing proven college talent and establishing an NIL network.

Latest on Vyctorius Miller’s recruitment

The No. 21 overall recruit in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, recently chatted with On3’s Joe Tipton. Miller said Gonzaga, Arkansas, Memphis, Oregon, Cal, LSU, USC, Auburn, Kansas State and Kansas have all been spending plenty of time recruiting him lately.

He would like to visit Kansas again, but LSU, Gonzaga and Oregon are all in the mix to receive another in-person look.

“I would have to say the coaching staff,” he said when asked what he values the most in a school. “Do they let their players rock out? Is (jersey number) 5 going to be available? Do they believe in their players? The culture plays a big part too.”

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently gives the Jayhawks a 58.3% chance to land the four-star, but Miller is not rushing his decision. He also has a $96,000 On3 NIL Valuation, which ranks in the top 65 of high school basketball. With nearly 51,000 followers just off Instagram, he’s starting to build out his brand.

The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals athletes have completed to date, nor does it set an athlete’s NIL valuation for their entire career.
