Clemson Tigers — 9.5 Wins
Clemson won ten games last season, including a 7-1 record in the ACC. The highlight of the Tigers’ campaign was notching the victory in the ACC title game over SMU, which sent them to the College Football Playoff.
Cade Klubnik will return at quarterback, so there’s a ton of warranted hype for the Tigers. Dabo Swinney also made an underrated addition to his coaching staff, poaching former Penn State defensive coordinator Tom Allen.
Louisville Cardinals — 8.5 Wins

The 2024 season represented the second one under Jeff Brohm’s leadership for Louisville. The Cardinals won nine games, including five ACC games. Their season was capped off with a one-point win over Washington in the Sun Bowl.
Heading into a new campaign, the team’s hole at quarterback was filled by transfer Miller Moss. He could help the Cardinals make some noise. They’ll start their season with a date against Eastern Kentucky.
Miami Hurricanes — 8.5 Wins
Miami seemed primed for the College Football Playoff with Cam Ward at quarterback last season. However, it wasn’t meant to be. The Hurricanes still won 10 games, including six within the ACC, but they ended up playing in the Pop-Tarts bowl instead of having a shot at the national title in 2024.
While Ward is on to the NFL, the Hurricanes replaced him with another promising transfer quarterback in Carson Beck. A tough clash against Notre Dame will be all the rage in Week 1, but Miami can make a major statement with a win.
SMU Mustangs — 8.5 Wins
What a season it was for SMU in 2024. Despite falling to Clemson in the ACC title game, the Mustangs won 11 games during their first season in the conference, going 8-0 in the ACC during the regular season and making the College Football Playoff.
While Vegas doesn’t necessarily believe SMU will be as good in 2025, count the Mustangs out at your own risk. They’ll have plenty of chances to prove the world wrong once again, beginning with a Week 1 clash against East Texas A&M.
Florida State Seminoles — 7.5 Wins

Florida State had the most disappointing season in all of college football last season, and it’ll go down in history as one of the more shocking turn of events the sport has ever seen. After entering the year as a hot pick for the College Football Playoff, the Seminoles finished 2-10, going 1-7 within the ACC.
So, what’s next for Florida State? The Seminoles added two new coordinators in former UCF head coach Gus Malzahn on offense and former Nebraska assistant Tony White on defense. That’s a great place to start, ahead of their Week 1 game against Alabama.
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets — 7.5 Wins
Georgia Tech seems to be on the rise. They shocked Florida State to begin the 2024 season in Ireland, and they almost bookended it with a win over Georgia, but they came up short in an epic overtime battle. Still, they won seven games and went 5-3 within the conference.

One thing that bodes well for the Yellow Jackets in 2025 their offense is returning some studs. Led by veteran quarterback Haynes King, running back Jamal Haynes and wide receiver Malik Rutherford make up an impressive unit.
North Carolina Tar Heels — 7.5 Wins
North Carolina won six games last season, but it’s tough to compare this year’s team to 2024. So much has changed for the Tar Heels, with Bill Belichick at the forefront of it all.
It was more than just a change at head coach that shook up the team, though. Their whole offseason was an overhaul, including a new QB1 in Gio Lopez and running back in Benjamin Hall.
Duke Blue Devils — 6.5 Wins

Duke’s first season under Manny Diaz went swimmingly. They won nine games, including five within the ACC. It was all capped off with an unfortunate loss to Ole Miss in the Gator Bowl, but they’ll be back with a vengeance in 2025.
One reason to believe in the Blue Devils is transfer quarterback Darian Mensah. After starring with Tulane, he still has three seasons of eligibility remaining, and he’ll be looking to show off in a big way with Duke.
NC State Wolfpack — 6.5 Wins
Dave Doeren is entering Year 13 with NC State. The Wolfpack have a bevy of new assistants coming in, and they’re looking to improve upon last season’s record, where they won six games.
Will their additions be enough? Time will tell, but the Wolfpack are also returning some key starters on offense, like quarterback CJ Bailey, running back Hollywood Smothers and wide receivers Noah Rogers and Wesley Grimes.
Virginia Cavaliers — 6.5 Wins
After a rough start to his tenure, Tony Elliott began to figure some things out for Virginia in 2024. The Cavaliers won five games, falling just short of a bowl. Still, they gained the necessary confidence to compete in 2025.
At quarterback, Elliott brought in a veteran. Chandler Morris will be leading the charge for the Cavaliers, and he’ll be hoping his latest stop is a little more fruitful than his previous.
