Carson Hocevar lets out NSFW reaction as engine explodes during Prime NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 broadcast

After a career-best run, Carson Hocevar is out of the Coca-Cola 600. He let out an NSFW reaction as his engine blew up. Hocevar and his pit crew worked hard to get him on the front row as the race restarted to begin the final stage. Now, the young NASCAR driver is wondering what could have been.
Carson Hocevar won’t take any consolation from tonight after this engine failure, but he should. He had a car capable of winning the race tonight and was executing exactly how he needed to in order to put it up there.
Those watching on Prime Video at home heard Hocevar say “It f*cking blew up.” No bleeps when you’re on streaming, folks! What a heartbreaking result for the second-year Cup Series driver.
Carson Hocevar is dying to get that first career win. These things happen slowly, though. Many drivers don’t find that first trip to Victory Lane until their third season in the Cup Series. Chase Elliott had a heck of a time getting his first win all those years ago.
Spire Motorsports continues to show improvement. They have had all three of their drivers running well at some point or another today. Spire likely could have had all three teams in the top-20 if Justin Haley hadn’t been involved in a wreck in Stage 3.

For Hocevar, he will go to Nashville next week and likely will have another good run. He was strong there a year ago and ultimately finished P16. This is the fourth DNF of the season for Hocevar and the 77 team.
Carson Hocevar showed speed at Charlotte
This season, Carson Hocevar has finished P2 at Atlanta, won his first-career pole at Talladega, and was up in the mix for the lead tonight in the Coca-Cola 600. You have to like his chances of potentially winning a race this season, especially if this intermeidate track speed carries over.
The summer is when Hocevar really started putting up consistent results a year ago. He was trailing Josh Berry in the Rookie of the Year standings before Gateway, the 15th race of the season. From there, he slowly chipped away at Berry’s points lead.
As the summer stretch of the schedule starts to get into full-swing, will Carson Hocevar find his footing again? He has learned quite a bit in the last two years and I’m ready to see him have a full run, no mistakes. If he does, anything can happen.
