CeeDee Lamb on George Pickens: 'We complement each other very well'

CeeDee Lamb is looking forward to the opportunity to play alongside George Pickens this season. The Dallas Cowboys acquired Pickens via trade this offseason, giving up a third-round pick and a fifth-round pick to add him to their receiving corps.
There he joins Lamb, a four-time Pro Bowler who has finished with more than 1,000 yards receiving in each of the past four seasons. Lamb spoke recently on what part of Pickens’ game excites him the most about the chance to play together, but he couldn’t pin down just one.
“Everything,” Lamb said. “His demeanor. Everything he brings to the table. Deep threat ability. Able to block. And just the energy he brings to the game. We complement each other very well.”
Pickens is getting ready to enter his fourth NFL season after playing the first three years with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is coming off of a year in which he recorded 59 catches for 900 yards and three touchdowns across only 14 games.
After Lamb, Jalen Tolbert was the next leading receiver for the Cowboys in 2024 and managed only 49 catches for 610 yards and seven touchdowns. He and Pickens will now likely start alongside Lamb in what looks on paper to be a much stronger group of wideouts.

Dallas will hope that can help it bounce back from a disappointing 7-10 finish this past season. The Cowboys will also get quarterback Dak Prescott back from injury, another massive boost to the passing game.
Eagles WR A.J. Brown reacts to Cowboys trading for George Pickens: ‘We’re going to have to worry about them’
AJ Brown believes the Dallas Cowboys will be dangerous in 2025 after they traded for George Pickens earlier this month. During a discussion with his fans posted on his YouTube channel, the star Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver shared his thoughts on the trade.
“We’re going to have to worry about (Dallas), for sure,” he said, per NFL.com. “We’re going to have to worry about them. No, I like the trade. I do like the trade. I like the competition. I like George Pickens, I like CeeDee Lamb. And they collab. It’s going to be exciting to watch. Because all that does is bring the best out of us. So, if we know how they coming, we are going to have to step it up.”
The Cowboys made the move to keep up with the Eagles, who won the Super Bowl in February. Brown knows the Cowboys games are going to be tough since they are division rivals. The Eagles defeated the Cowboys in both games last year, but Dallas didn’t have Dak Prescott since he was dealing with a hamstring injury.
